The Greater Temple Area A&M Club serves as a local extension of Texas A&M University, providing former students an opportunity to communicate and interact with other local Aggies.? The Club coordinates all former student activity within the greater Temple Area and outreaches to the community by providing scholarships to deserving local students who plan to attend, or are already attending, Texas A&M University.

.Happy hour:?????Every Friday at O’Briens Irish Pub.? Happy hour starts “after work” (usually about 5:15ish) and lasts until ???
?First Thursday of each month at Cotton Patch at 5:30pm.
?Every Thursday during football season at Cotton Patch at 5:30pm.? Previous weeks game will be shown

.Athletic events:
?Womens soccer vs.UAB – Saturday, August 15th, 2009 at 7:00pm.? To purchase group tickets for the club, I’m requiring a minimum of 6 people RSVP by 08/01/2009.? Should we not get the minimum, you are still more than welcome to attend; we will just not be traveling?or attending as a group.

Other events: Aggie float trip to New Braunfels  Saturday, July 18^th, 2009.? Minimum 6, RSVP by 07/04/2009.

Adopted park clean up day
The fall park clean up day has been scheduled for Sunday, August 2^nd, 2009 at 3:00pm at Colquitt Park (on Hickory Dr.) in Temple.? The clean up takes a very short period of time and mainly this is a chance to bring the family out and socialize.? Light refreshments will be served.?There are more fun and exciting events scheduled for the rest of 2009 and I’ll have those dates posted very soon.? area. I would like to take a moment to describe the role I play within the community so you know
who to contact if and when you have an aspiring high school student interested in Texas A&M.

As an Advisor, I help prospective students explore the opportunities available to them at our prestigious university.
I advise these students throughout the college exploration and admissions process and can offer extensive information
on various aspects of admissions, financial aid, honors, housing, and other student services.??

I also offer select students the opportunity to participate in programs that A&M host throughout the year. Such
programs include Valedictorian and Salutatorian Dinner and Aggie Land 101. If you would like more information
regarding these events, please contact me.

Howdy all,?It has been a while since anything has been posted so here is a bit of an update.? With the New Year fully in swing, we inducted new officers at the Christmas party.? With 2 Board meetings over and done with for the year things are rocking along, in the not too distance future we have Muster, more info to follow on that in the not to distance future.?Also on the horizon, we will be posting our scholarship applications in the next few days.There are several social activities planned over the next new months as well:March 5th, Men’s Basketball vs. Baylor in Waco @ 8pm
April 5th, Baseball at Olsen vs. Kansas State @ 2pm
